Description
Caseway SC-325 is a solvent cement for bonding polycarbonate to itself and other plastics such as acrylic, PVC, vinyl, and CAB (cellulose acetate butyrate). Because of its water-thin and fast-setting characteristics, it is excellent for bonding molded parts. It will develop a strong bond and can be applied quickly with a solvent syringe, dropper, brush, or by using the “soak method”. Solvent cementing depends on the softening and intermingling of the two surfaces to be joined so that there is actual cohesion between the materials themselves. After assembly, the solvent evaporates or dissipates through the material leaving no residue. The choice of cementing technique will depend on the type of joint and material to be cemented. *Typical setting time is 2 – 5 minutes, but may be longer depending on temperature and humidity.

This stuff works great for bonding Polycarb to polycarb, which can be tricky in my experience.

The back easel to my 25 lb Apple Cinema Display HD from 2003 (yes) sheared off in a fall from my desk. I did some research, found this product. I painted it on to the break points with a brush and left it alone for a day. It's holding! This was a total hail mary. I doubt I'll have any use for the rest of the can but it saved me from buying a brand new computer monitor.
